Over the past few weeks, Coronavirus (“COVID-19”) has become headline news and we are beginning to feel it’s impact on our business.

The unfortunate reality is that this event has resulted in us, along with most industry operators, receiving enquiries about cancellations of existing bookings or requests for delayed travel. Our aim is to collaborate with all our partners and to stay aligned with advisory notes from industry bodies (such as the South African Tourism Services Association “SATSA”), as well as advice from the World Health Organisation to minimise the impact on our guests, staff and property owners, and to keep the pipeline for responsible travel open.
Revised Terms and Conditions:

1. The conditions below are applicable to all new and existing bookings for accommodation in Camps Bay Apartments properties only. The policy is consistent with Point 12 of SATSA’s FAQ document which can be downloaded here.
2. Any request for cancellation for bookings arriving up until 30 April 2020, will be offered a credit for the value of the booking payment Camps Bay Apartments has received. This amendment will have a validity period until 15 November 2020 and from 10 April 2021 – 30 September 2021.
3. Guests will be allowed one amendment of dates. Minimum stays and seasonal rates will apply.
4. Bookings with arrival date from 1 May 2020 onwards will be subject to our standard cancellation terms as disclosed on our website.
5. As of 18 March 2020, the South African government has imposed a travel ban for high and medium risk countries as described on the SATSA website.
6. Should guests not wish to rebook for a later date, our guests are advised in the first instance to claim a refund from their travel insurance.
7. Guests that have booked via third parties are advised to contact their booking provider for information on their policies.
8. Camps Bay Apartments reserves the right to make changes to the above conditions and will do our best to notify all stakeholders of any changes.
