Can I have an early check-in?

Accepted Answer

We know you’re exhausted from travelling and that’s why we let you check in as soon as the property is ready. Unfortunately we are unable to give you the house or apartment while it is still occupied by the previous guest, but everything is usually ready by 14:00. If you would like to guarantee an early arrival, we will book the property off the night before and there will be an early arrival fee of 50% of the daily rate. If you wish not to pay the early arrival fee, you can take a chance to see if the house or apartment is available earlier on the day of your arrival. Please note that during season we often have back-to-back bookings.

Can I have a late check-out?

We would like to ask you to check-out by 10am, to get the apartment ready for in-coming guests. If your flight departs later, I can highly recommend https://www.bagdrop.co.za/ or https://usebounce.com/ Should you wish to book a late departure, we will block the night off afterwards @ 50% of the daily rate. Subject to availability when you book. Another idea is to book in at a spa for the rest of the day.

Can you stock my kitchen?

We can arrange to stock your kitchen at a cost of 25% of the total shopping bill or R420 whichever is the greatest. Alcohol is not sold in any of the shops in Camps Bay. We will require a shopping list at least 7 days before the arrival. Payment: Cash on arrival or we charge a 4% credit card surcharge. For food or toiletry requirements, please visit: Pick & Pay on the promenade in Victoria Road, open from 08:00 – 20:00. Tel. 021 438 2328. There is a small convenience store at the petrol station at 2A Rontree Avenue, Woolworths in the V&A Waterfront or C/o St John and Main Road, Seapoint. There is a trader licensed to rent out deck chairs, umbrellas and cushions on Camps Bay and Clifton beach.  They generally close at 6pm on hot days but earlier if the weather isn’t great.  Note that most of the traders selling sunglasses, wireworks etc are illegal, unlicensed traders.

Which trail to hike up Table Mountain:

Camps Bay sits right beneath the Twelve Apostles, the mountain range that forms part of Table Mountain National Park. Several well known trails climb up from Camps Bay itself, most starting from the Pipe Track above Theresa Avenue. A few things apply to all of these hikes. Table Mountain National Park charges an entry fee. Weather can change quickly, so check conditions before you go. Hiking in a group is strongly recommended, and these routes are best suited to hikers with a reasonable level of fitness. Kasteelspoort The most popular route up from Camps Bay, and a good option if you want a well marked, well used path. It is steep in sections, with some scrambling near the top, but the trail is clear throughout. Many hikers combine it with a walk to Tranquility Cracks or across to the Upper Cable Station.
