Green Point Urban Park

Arderne Gardens

There is a donation box at the entrance.
Tours of the park at 10:00am on the first Saturday of every month. A minimum donation of R40 per person required.
Little Glen Camps Bay

In winter there is the Blinkwater stream flowing through the Little Glen. There is a play area for the kids. Buy picnic goodies from the Pick & Pay or Woolworths in Camps Bay Village.
De Waal Park

Apparently the farm was named after my great great (not sure how many greats needed) grandfather David Christiaan de Waal. My mother’s surname was de Waal – in case you are wondering…
Noordhoek Common

I once attended a wedding on Noordhoek Common. If it is not allowed – please forgive me – it wasn’t my wedding. Delicious treats can be bought from the Food Barn Deli Shop nearby. They also stock an impressive range of Vegan products.
Silvermine

Entrance free for Wild Card holders. In winter you can BBQ and swimming in the dam is permitted all year round. You can hike to Elephant’s Eye or just stroll around the dam. There is nowhere close by to buy food.
Kirstenbosch Botanical Gardens

Kirstenbosch National Botanical Garden is acclaimed as one of the great botanic gardens of the world. There is an amazing tea room which serves the best Malva Pudding.
The Sunday Evening Summer Concerts are not to be missed. The back drop for the stage is Table Mountain.
