Getaway near Cape Town: Elgin

Elgin is +/- 60 km’s from Cape Town and is well known for excellent wines, ciders, apples, pies and mountain biking.

Accommodation in Elgin: Elgin Country Lodge. Set in a beautiful garden bordering an apple orchard, a 10 minute walk to Peregrine Farm stall and a short cycle to Oak Valley. Pat, the manageress is extremely friendly and helpful and the rooms are immaculate. There is a mini bar fridge, tea & coffee making facilities, air-conditioning and the linen and bedding is perfect. The absolute best Covid-19 procedures are followed. We received a tray with sanitizer, masks, gloves, the remotes in a plastic bag, zip lock bag etc.
