Mike and I enjoy walking down to our “local” Il Cappero in Camps Bay. Aldo is always friendly and welcoming and his wife, Ceti’s Sicilian cooking is delicious . They are offering 50% off pasta dishes on Tuesday and Wednesday evenings during winter.

95 On Keerom is stylish, modern, the waiters are professional and the food is superb. Giorgio Nava is well known in Cape Town and recently won the World Pasta Championships in Parma. Giorgio owns Caffé Milano (great coffee and pastries in Kloof Street), Mozzarella (ditto) and Carne.

The fact that Sardinia is one of my favourite holiday destinations has nothing to do with my love for Nonna Lina. It is the tasty thin crusted pizza and the artichoke salad. As far as I know this is the only place in Cape Town where you can get mirto. A Sardinian liqueur made out of berries and leaves.
