On my favourites list is always a restaurant I can walk to. So that will have to be The Raj in Camps Bay. I like to order the Lamb Chops Masala.

Chandani or चाँदनी means moonlight in Hindi. We always order from the mixed starters, followed by the Brinjal Masala, their house speciality.

The Maharajah has been around for 36 years. They serve roti’s or paratha instead of naan and although I like naan, paratha is even better. Try their butter chicken or chicken curry off the bone. If the young waiter tells you, they don’t do doggy bags, don’t stress. It is just his way to show his ‘exceptionally funny’ sense of humour. Ha ha
