PERSONAL GROWTH
PRIVATE PAGES 1: JOURNAL WRITING FOR SELF AWARENESS: three sessions: R850
Next course: ………………………………… Wednesday mornings, 05, 12, 19 March. 9.15 – 11.30am
These sessions are constructed around two of life’s big questions: Who am I and why am I here? Drawing on the writings of various teachers, we explore identity, programming and life choices. The course is suitable for people experiencing challenging circumstances or who simply want to write a journal and see where it takes them. All exercises remain private.
Session 1: Introduction: the how, when, why and what of journal writing; mapping your life story.
Session 2: Self esteem and the subconscious mind: your personal programme and where it comes from; the pain body; identifying energy drains; tools and problem-solving strategies.
Session 3: Choices and consequences: defining happiness and success; moving out of the comfort zone; choosing an attitude; finding purpose.
JOURNAL WRITING WORKSHOP: ………………… Monday evening, 24 March. 7.15 – 9.30pm
Topic: boundaries. Why do some of us find it so hard to say ‘no’? Whether it’s as minor as taking on an extra chore, or as major as putting up with manipulation and abuse, we need to examine what motivates the choice to be compliant. There will be some discussion followed by journal questions for private consideration.
MIDLIFE MATTERS: REDEFINING AGEING. Three sessions: R850
Next course: ………………………………………… Monday mornings, 05, 12, 19 May. 9.15 – 11.45am
In our rapidly-changing, youth-focused world, where do women in the second half of life fit? We consider life cycles, changing roles, taking stock, facing fears, identifying strengths, mentoring and sharing wisdom.
OTHER COURSES: Contact me if you are interested in these and I will let you know when they are being scheduled.
PRIVATE PAGES 2: ENERGY CENTRES: three sessions: R850
A continuation of the exploration of who we are and how we operate. This time we use the chakras as a framework: drawing on ancient understanding of the body’s energy system and the issues associated with each energy centre, we consider questions related to family, relationships, self esteem, love, choice, wisdom and spirituality. (Material for this programme sourced predominantly from two books by Caroline Myss: Anatomy of the Spirit and Sacred Contracts.)
PRIVATE PAGES 3: ARCHETYPES: two sessions: R560
Recognising and working with archetypal patterns (child, victim, warrior, healer, artist, saboteur) deepens our insight and gives us another tool for personal transformation.
