We live in Camps Bay and love it and we have many reasons why we live in Camps Bay.
But when I chat to our guests, they always rave about the suburb.
Their reasons they choose Camps Bay as their holiday destination are:
- You can walk to the beach and restaurants.
- There is a selection of restaurants and coffee shops to choose from in the village.
- Camps Bay is statistically the safest suburb in the Western Cape. After a meal you can walk back to your house or apartment.
- The sunsets are spectacular. Not only does the sky turn shades of orange while the sun dips behind the ocean but the setting sun lights up the Twelve Apostles and it looks beautiful.
- The light is amazing.
- The view is fantastic, the ocean towards the bottom and the Twelve Apostles and Table Mountain at the back.
- The winters are much milder.
- The city, Hout Bay, Seapoint, Llundudno, Bantry Bay, the V&A Waterfront, Fresnaye and Greenpoint are close by. You can take a MyCiti bus to the city, Hout Bay, Seapoint etc. An Uber ride will cost under R100 for four people to the V&A Waterfront, city etc.
- There are great walks in and around Camps Bay. You can walk up the mountain from the boom in Theresa Avenue up Kasteelspoort. You can walk along the ocean towards Seapoint, Mouille Point etc.
- Camps Bay is a very popular starting point to cycle to Chapmans Peak or Noordhoek.
