Arrival at Cape Town International for first time visitors, airport transfers, sim cards etc
Transport from Cape Town International Airport:
Car rental:
Follow the signs to the various car rental companies.
Should you wish to rent a car prior to your arrival in Cape Town, please e-mail us with your dates, the type of car you require eg automatic, manual etc at least 48 hours prior to your arrival. Our e-mail address is: info@campsbayapartments.com
Please note that during season, it is best if you book cars in advance.
Airport transfers:
We can arrange airport transfers from Cape Town International Airport. We will require an e-mail at least 48 hours prior to your arrival with the following info:
– Amount of adults and children
– Flight number
– Amount of luggage eg golf bags, prams, sporting equipment etc.
– Destination
– Car seats etc required
– Should you want to stop en route to buy groceries or wine
– If you would like to go on a mini sightseeing tour from the airport

Uber:
Follow the signs “E-hailing pick up area” It will lead to Parkade 1. As you enter the parkade the Uber will collect you on the right hand side.
On your way to Parkade 1, taxi drivers will try and persuade you that they are an Uber service.
Bus:
Follow the signs to the MyCiti bus stop which is in front of the airport. You can buy a card and top it up with the amount you think you will need during your stay. Bus tickets can not be topped up on the bus and bus drivers will not let you on if you do not have a credit on your card. The airport MyCiti bus only goes to the city. To get to Camps Bay, you will need to change in the city.
Sim Card or Internet at Cape Town International Airport:
Vodacom and MTN give out free sim cards in the International arrivals hall of the airport.
In my opinion Vodacom has better coverage and service then MTN.
Airport Hotel at Cape Town Airport:
Hotel Verde is situated near the airport.
Groceries shopping at the airport:
On arrival, you can buy wine and spirits from Duty Free.
There is also a Woolworths supermarket where you can stock up on some essential items.
