Taking the cable car up Table Mountain

It is cheaper to go in the afternoon then in the morning. Sometimes the wind increases by the afternoon. The cable car does not operate in strong wind. There are different ticket prices for children and students. You can also book Fast Track Tickets to skip the queue – which are obviously more expensive.

Check on the day that the cable car is running.

Take an Uber to the Cable Car Station.

You can buy tickets (cash or credit card) at the Cable Car Station. In peak season this is not advisable or you will need to queue twice.

Join the queue.

The ride up the mountain takes 5 minutes.

There are 3 hiking trails at the top as well as a coffee shop and restaurant.

It is advisable to pack something warm to wear as it usually quite chilly at the top.
