Proposal to keep Table Mountain clean.

Table Mountain is undoubtedly Cape Town’s pride and one of the World’s 7 Natural Wonders.

Most hikers don’t litter but many people parking on the mountain, admiring the view or whatever they do (not my business) obviously litter a lot.

Monday mornings are the worst: Fast food wrappers, cans, bottles, papers etc. It is truly an injustice to the beauty of the mountain.

So an easy, cost effective way to clean it up: Offer free cable car rides down, to hikers who bring a bag of trash before 9 on a Monday morning. Not many people use the cable car down before 9am. The cable car needs to go down to fetch staff, supplies, passengers etc. That way the mountain is cleaned up and it costs nothing / mahala.
