Cycling the Camino Portugues: Olveiroa to Fisterra
I set off, excited to meet up with my Afrikaans friend I met in Santiago, Riana.
Riana had booked at Hotel Rustico Finesterre. It was unfortunate that they insisted that we pay much more than was advertised on their website. I can not recommend that anyone books with them.
We explored the town and had lunch on the marina. That evening we walked to “the end of the world” for a sundowner, get-together with one of the Swedish guys I met. We ran into quite a few people we knew and it was loads of fun. Late that night we walked back in the pouring rain while passing a bottle of red wine and everyone drinking from the bottle.
After such a fun, late night, it was really difficult to get going. Even though I think I had got fit at last, two weeks of continues cycling and little sleep had taken it’s toll.
