During the week we decided to try Charcoal, one of the new restaurants in Cape Town. The interior, background music and ambiance was lovely. The silver cutlery was beautiful and I liked the simple menu’s.
I ordered Seared Tuna, Avocado, Lime with Chilli Salsa and Mike had the Fresh Grilled Kingklip with Lemon & Dill Hollandaise, Hand Cut Fries and Salad. The tuna was delicious and the hand cut fries were some of the best we have ever tasted. We found that the Lemon & Dill Hollandaise overpowered the kingklip and I found it too sweet.
Charcoal does not have a wine licence yet but you are welcome to take your own wine in the meantime.
