Mont Marie

There are many wine farm restaurants in Stellenbosch to choose from but Mont Marie has been my firm favourite for years.

South China Dim Sum
289 Long Street, Cape Town
078 846 3656
Long Street is not my favourite place to hang out at night but the dim sum is delicious.

The Hussar Grill
Shop 2, 108a Camps Bay Drive, Camps Bay.
Tel. 021 438 0151
The Hussar Grill is our local. It is a short stroll from our house in Camps Bay and as I am a real ‘boeremeisie’, I enjoy a good steak. We usually take a very good bottle of wine as the restaurant does not charge corkage. They serve a complimentary chocolate vodka for dessert which is sweet and creamy, which I enjoy.

True Italic – Italian
15 Bree Street, Cape Town
021 418 7655

Villa 47
47 Bree Street, Cape Town
021 418 2740
There is also a tapas bar upstairs which is very good.

Willoughby & Co – Best sushi
Shop 6132, Lower Level, V&A Waterfront
021 418-6115
Eating in a mall is not my scene. But the sushi is really good. During peak times there is usually a line of patrons waiting for a table, Willoughby’s offer a wine tasting while you wait.
