Healthy balls

It’s Sunday afternoon and Mike’s gone cycling and I am pottering in the kitchen. So I make these Health Balls just throwing in a few moderately healthy ingredients and it turns out absolutely divine.   We just polished them for desert – so I can’t even show you a photo.

But here is the recipe – more or less….

Rolled oats
Nut butter
Ground mixed seeds and chia seeds
Lemon rind
Melted organic coconut oil
Protein powder

Mix it together and roll it into balls. I put mine in the freezer for 15 minutes and then in the fridge.

I am sure something like chopped dried apricots or cranberries will be fantastic .Or if you dip it in melted raw cacao.

I guess if you eat so many of these “healthy” balls – it probably not so healthy….
