Camps Bay Apartments was founded by Elize Sewell who has 25 years’ experience in the hospitality industry. She offers a vibrant, professional service, managing high-end apartments and villas in Camps Bay.
Thanks to an Afrikaans mother and a British father, she has both a South African and an EU passport, so can indulge her love of travel quite easily. After studying she spent some time travelling and working in the UK.
Back in South Africa, she went into the hospitality industry, which offered the perfect outlet for her interests in marketing, Internet technology and luxury accommodation. She launched her own business, Camps Bay Apartments, in May, 2000.
Her experience abroad has given her the edge on what international tourists are looking for. Her sophisticated style married with efficiency and commitment to hard work translates into a successful business, managing and marketing holiday accommodation in Camps Bay.
Moses Brown is from Manase near Blantyre in Malawi. He has worked for Camps Bay Apartments for eight years. Moses is in charge of the operations and you will see him zooming around Camps Bay from villa to apartment on his yellow scooter. Moses is a bit of a geek, which comes in handy when guests need assistance sorting out computers, televisions, surround sound and so on. On weekends Moses watches football or films wedding videos. He lives in nearby Hout Bay and his favourite restaurant is Mariner’s Wharf.
Priscilla has worked with Camps Bay Apartments since 2001. She has three children and is the proud grandmother of two girls, Enam, who is three, and nine-year-old Kushle. Pri owns her own home in Samora Machel. If she is not cleaning and tidying her house, she likes to watch Muvhango.
Henry has worked at Ebb Tide for the last two and a half years. He is from Llongwe in Malawi and has been in Cape Town for three years. He is 29 years old and has eight brothers and two sisters in Malawi. Being from such a large family, Henry loves being around people. His favourite past times are playing the piano and conducting the church band. Henry recently tied the knot with Talent, a beautiful girl from Zimbabwe.
Japhet Chirwa is 30 years old and from Mzuzu in Malawi. He lives in Claremont in Cape Town and he and Jade have a five-year-old daughter, Portia. Japhet is a sports fanatic and enjoys watching cricket, rugby and soccer. He is fond of R&B music, especially Usher and Chris Brown.
Fezie is 29 years old and from Eliot in the Eastern Cape. She lives in Khayelitsha and is the oldest of two sisters. She is fond of R&B music and sings in her church choir. She adores soap operas and hanging out with her friends.
Zingy is 28 years old and has a seven-year-old son called Afika and has just had another baby boy, Landa. She is blessed with a beautiful voice and sings in the church choir every Sunday. She has a weakness for epapa and inkukho (pap and chicken) . Although Zingy is Xhosa, her favourite movie of all time is There is a Zulu on my stoep.
Ruth is 39 years old and is Zingy’s sister. She has worked for Lion’s View for 9 years. Ruth is obsessed with football and some Fridays she arrives at work wearing all her football paraphernalia in support of her team, Orlando Pirates. She likes RnB and she sings in her church choir.
